문종업은 B.A.P 출신으로 지난 4월 종영한 JTBC “피크타임”에 참가하여 자신만의 가장 장점인 강렬한 퍼포먼스와 무한한 매력을 선보이며 글로벌 개인 투표 1위 팀 순위 최종 3위를 기록하였다.

2021년 헤드에이크(HEADACHE), 어스(US) 등 곡 작업에 참여하여 첫 번째 솔로앨범을 발표한 이후 약 2년 3개월만의 두 번째 미니앨범으로 돌아왔다.

 

문종업의 두 번째 미니앨범 SOME은 타이틀곡 X.O.X, Common을 포함한 총 5곡으로 구성되어 있다.

오롯이 자신만의 색으로 그려낸 앨범인 만큼 타이틀곡 X.O.X 역시 직접 곡 작업에 참여하며 음악적으로 발전하는 면모를 보였다.

 

타이틀 X.O.X는 문종업(Moon Jong Up)의 시그니처인 MOON(달)을 소재로 풀어낸 가사와 스타일리시한 아날로그 신스 사운드가 어우러져 트랜디하면서도 한층 더 성숙해진 보컬을 더욱 돋보이게 한다.

 

타이틀 이외에도 5번 트랙의 Fine은 늘 한결같이 자신을 응원하며 아낌없는 사랑을 보내준 팬들을 향한 마음을 음악으로 표현하여 감동을 선사한다. “내가 원하는 건 단 하나 바로 네 맘에 쉴 곳이 되어주는 것”, “나 꺼지지 않는 빛이 되어 널 비추리” 등의 내용을 담았다. 문종업의 감성이 돋보이는 감미로운 목소리와 몽환적이고 세련된 멜로디 라인이 더해져 완벽한 곡이 탄생했다.
